2 pkg. active dry yeast
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk, scalded
1/3 cup shortening
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
3 1/2- 4 cup flour
2 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Softened yeast in warm water (110º) Combine milk, shortening, sugar and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Stir in 1 cup of flour. Beat well. Add softened yeast and eggs, mix. Add enough of flour to make moderately soft dough. Mix well. Place in greased bowl. Turn once to grease surface. Cover and chill at least 3 hrs. or overnight. Punch down. turn on floured surface. Roll 3/8 in. thick. Cut. Let rise 30-40 min. Fry in deep fry (375º) Drain on paper towels while hot.
Glaze: stir together 2 cups confectioners sugar, 1 tsp grated orange peel and 3 tablespoons orange juice,.
