1 c. soft butter or ½ c. butter and ½ c. margarine
½ c.sugar
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:
These make a very rich soft cookie. For full flavor the sesame seeds should be toasted. To do this, spread a pan with a very small amount of butter. Toast in a slow oven (300ºF) until golden brown.

Sift flour, measure and return to sifter. Cream butter, add sugar gradually. Add egg and salt. Beat until light. Add flour and 3/8 cup sesame seeds. Blend well.

Shape dough into a ball. Chill dough until firm. Work with only a portion of dough at a time, roll very thin. Sprinkle seeds over dough, roll in before cutting. Bake 5 minutes in a hot oven (425ºF). Watch closely at the last minute to prevent burning.
