½ cup butter or margarine
½ cup creamy or chunky peanut butter
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 large egg
¾ t. vanilla
1 ¾ cups flour
¾ t. baking soda
¼ t. salt

Directions:
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 375.
2. In large bowl mix together first 4 ingredients until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in egg and vanilla until thoroughly blended.
4. Add flour, baking soda and salt and beat into butter mixture until well blended.
5. Roll heaping teaspoonfuls of dough into balls; place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Using the bottom of a glass, first dip into a little flour, then press each ball into ¼ inch thick circle. Use fork to make criss-cross indentation on top of each cookie.
6. Bake 5-8 minutes until lightly browned. Let cool on cookie sheet.
