1 can sliced beets, drained reserving 2/3 cup of the juice
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 cup cider vinegar
Dash of black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
In a small pan mix the sugar, cornstarch, and black pepper. Add in the 2/3 cup of reserved beet juice and the vinegar. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until the sauce darkens, thickens, and begins to boil. Boil for 1 minute stirring constantly. Add in the beets and mix to coat all. Reduce heat to low and cook until heated through. Serve warm.
