1 cup sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tea. salt
1/3 cup brown sugar packed
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
1 1/2 cups oatmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Add sugar, shortening, peanut butter, egg, vanilla and about half the syrup and beat until smooth, about 2 minutes
stir in remaining syrup and oatmeal.

Drop by teaspoonful's on greased cookie sheet.
Bake 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
