1 1/4 c all purpose flour
2/3 c firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 c margarine softened
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 c planters salted mixed nuts
1 1/2 c halved candied cherries
1 c (175 g pkg) chipits semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour with 1/3 c brown sugar. Cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press mixture evenly and firmly onto bottom of ungreased 15 X 10 X 3/4" jelly roll pan. Bake at 350ºF for 15 min. Meanwhile beat egg slightly in a large bowl. Stir in remaining 1/2 c brown sugar and salt. Add nuts, cherries and chipits. Toss mixture lightly to coat. Spoon fruit mixture evenly over baked layer. Press firmly to adhere layers. Bake an additional 20 min. Cool. Cut into 1 1/2 X 2" bars.
