¾ cup Wesson oil
2 ¼ cups sifted flour
1 cup granulated sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup butter milk
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup diced dates
1 cup cranberries – grated rind of 2 large oranges
2 large eggs beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together dry ingredients. Stir in nuts cranberries and orange rind. Combine eggs butter milk & oil. Add to the flour & fruit mixture. Stir until blended with spoon.

Butter & flour a tube pan.

Bake at 350° for an hour or until toothpick insert in center comes out clean.

While cake is baking heat ½ cup orange juice, ½ cup of sugar. Cook until sugar is dissolved.

Once the cake is done – pour mixture over cake while it is still hot.
