3/4 c milk
1/2 c sugar
1 tsp. salt
3/4 cup butter
1/4 c warm water
2 Tabl. sugar
2 pkg. yeast
3 eggs beaten
6 c. flour
1 Tabl. aniseed ground
12 walnut half's
1 egg
sesame seeds

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk, add 1/2 c sugar, butter and cool to lukewarm
Measure water into bowl and add 2 tsp. sugar and yeast. Stir to dissolve.
Add to lukewarm milk mixture.
Stir in eggs and stir
Add three cups of flour
Add aniseed and flour and mix well

Form 2 loaves spread 1 mixed egg over top and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Place the nuts in form of a cross

bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes
