Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2-3 bananas
1 cup old fashioned oatmeal
1/3 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans are best)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.
Peel the bananas (of course) and put them in a bowl. Mash them with a spoon or soup ladle until mushy. Mix in about a cup of dry oatmeal and the nuts. You will need to play with the quantities since bananas can vary so much in size. I usually add more oatmeal until I get a consistency that isn't oozy.
Spoon mixture onto a cookie sheet into cookie-sized portions. You can also form them into cereal-bar type shapes if you like. You may want to grease the cookie sheet if its not non-stick.
Bake for 15-20 minutes. The cookies will have a somewhat rubbery texture when done.

I found this on Facebook. It was so simple I had to try it. I usually do this with bananas that are past the point where Alec will eat them but not too far gone too throw them away. Alec loves to take these on soccer weekends for a healthy snack.
