1½ cups raisins
½ cup shortening
¼ cup crunchy peanut butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp baking soda
1¼ cups quick oats
¾ cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cover raisins with boiling water and let stand for 5 minutes and drain. Beat shortening, peanut butter, and sugar together. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Blend in sifted flour with salt, cinnamon and soda. Mix in oats and raisins. Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375º for 10 – 12 minutes or until nicely browned.
