Grape leaves ( comes in a jar in brine) ... Or go out in the yard and pick some , then brine

Dill
Rice
Salt
Pepper
Lemon juice
Ground beef if you choose to add meat. Can be made vegetarian or with meat.

In fry pan, add 4T olive oil, dice onion and add 1 c dry rice. Brown. When browned, add salt and pepper and chopped dill. ...if using ground beef add 1 lb Raw ground beef...or lamb.

Use I grape leaf to add a spoonful of dry rice mixture and roll , folding side in just as you would a cabbage roll. . Layer Dolmades in Dutch oven, pack them in tightly. Add just enough water to cover, and pour in generous amt...1/3 c lemon juice. Place a heavy plate on top of Dolmades and simmer for at least an hour. Adding water little at a time as it cooks away.
