2 cups dark brown sugar
1/2 cup Crisco
1 lb. raisins
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. salt
4 cups flour
1 tbsp. baking soda
1/2 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Take 1 lb. raisins and boil in 2 cups of water for 15 minutes. Drain and let cool. This will make "raisin water". Mix dark brown sugar, Crisco, raisin, and spices. Add to the flour and raisin water. Mix baking soda and water and add mixture to it. Bake for 350º to 375º.
