1-2 chicken breasts abt 1 lb
2 tblsp oleo****oleo is what they used to call margarine
1/2 c sliced celery
1 can canned mushroom soup
1/2 c sliced onion
1/2 c water
1 3 oz can sliced mushrooms
1 beef bouillon cube
1 small green pepper cut in strips
1 tblsp soy sauce
1tsp Worchester sauce
3 tblsp white wine
1/2 tsp curry powder
1 can chow mein noodles
1/2 tsp poppy seeds
1 8 oz can bamboo shoots (drained)
1 3oz can chow mein noodles or rice

Directions:
Directions:
Cut chicken into 1 1/2 in pieces and brown in oleo. Stir in soup, water bouillon cube, soy sauce, Worchester, curry and poppy seed.
Cover and simmer 15 mins.
Add bamboo shoots, celery and onion and mushrooms. Cover and simmer 10 min.
Stir in green pepper and wine. Simmer 3 min.
Serve over chow mein noodles or rice
Makes about 8 servings
