Prep 20 minutes plus 2 hours to cool
Bake 1 hour 5 minutes

1/2 cup margarine or butter softened
1/2 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups blueberries
2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs

Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour 9”x5” loaf pan
In large bowl with mixer at low speed beat margarine or butter and add 1 cup sugar until just blended. Increase speed to medium beat until light and fluffy about 5 minutes.

Meanwhile in medium bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Reduce speed to low and place eggs one at a time beating after each, scraping bowl with rubber spatula. Alternately add flour mixture and milk, mixing until blended.
Gently stir in blueberries, spoon batter in loaf pan.

Bake 1 hour and 5 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean

Cool on rack 10 minutes - remove from pan
With skewer prick top and sides in many places.

Lemon Glaze
In small bowl mix 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1/3 cup sugar.
With pastry brush coat top and sides with lemon glaze.
Cool on wire rack.
