For the meatballs you will need:
3 lbs. 80% lean hamburger
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 13 oz. can evaporated milk
2 c. quick oatmeal
1 c. finely chopped onion
1/2 tsp. garlic granules
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. chili powder

For the sauce you will need:
2 c. tomato catsup
1 c. light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. liquid smoke (Do not overdo the liquid smoke.)

Directions:

Combine all of the meatball ingredients in a huge bowl.
Mix it thoroughly. The mixture will be moist and sticky.
I find there's no better way than using my hands.
Form into walnut size balls. (At this point can be frozen or baked)
Place the meatballs in a baking pan with edges almost touching
Mix together the catsup, brown sugar and liquid smoke.
Spread over the meatballs.
Bake at 350º for one hour.

This family favorite comes from the McPherson NCRA employee cookbook. At one time or another Grandpa Morrow and most of the Morrow boys worked at the McPherson refinery.
