Ingredients: For the meatballs you will need: 3 lbs. 80% lean hamburger 2 eggs, slightly beaten 1 13 oz. can evaporated milk 2 c. quick oatmeal 1 c. finely chopped onion 1/2 tsp. garlic granules 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1 tsp. salt 2 tsp. chili powder
For the sauce you will need: 2 c. tomato catsup 1 c. light brown sugar 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke (Do not overdo the liquid smoke.)

Directions:Combine all of the meatball ingredients in a huge bowl. Mix it thoroughly. The mixture will be moist and sticky. I find there's no better way than using my hands. Form into walnut size balls. (At this point can be frozen or baked) Place the meatballs in a baking pan with edges almost touching Mix together the catsup, brown sugar and liquid smoke. Spread over the meatballs. Bake at 350º for one hour. |
