1/2 lb. bacon
1 lb. hamburger
1 medium onion
1 can butter beans
1 can kidney beans
1 can pork and beans
1/3 c. of your favorite barbecue sauce
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 T. prepared mustard
1 T. molasses
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1 tsp. chili powder

Directions:
Directions:
Fry the bacon and crumble.
Chop the onion coarsely.
Brown the hamburger and onions together and drain.
Drain the butter beans and the kidney beans.
Mix all the ingredients and pour into a baking pan or oven proof dish.
Bake at 350º for one hour.
This recipe can also be prepared in a crock pot.

We brought this recipe back from a centennial celebration in Hays, Kansas in 1976 and it's been one of our family favorites since that time.
