1/2 c butter
1/4 c brown sugar
1 c flour
1/2 c chopped pecans or walnuts

1 envelope Knox gelatin
1/2 c cold water
1 qt strawberries, halved
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 c sugar
1 c whipping cream, whipped

Directions:

Mix butter, brown sugar, flour and nuts. Spread in 13 x 9 pan. Bake 15 minutes or less-watch closely. Stir baked crumbs with spoon and let cool. Soften gelatin in cold water. Mash 1 c of strawberries in saucepan. Add lemon juice and sugar. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in gelatin until dissolved. Chill until partially set. Fold in rest of strawberries and whipped cream. Layer in glass dish starting with berries, then crumbs, berries and end with crumbs. Refrigerate.
