1 box of yellow or chocolate cake mix (For a decadently chocolate cake, use a devil's food cake mix or chocolate fudge cake mix)
1 small pkg. instant chocolate pudding
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup water
8 oz. sour cream
4 eggs
6 oz. chocolate chips (but Dad uses 12 oz.)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together cake mix, pudding mix, oil, water, sour cream and eggs. Beat with electric mixer on medium for 2 minutes or till batter is smooth. Fold in chocolate chips. Bake at 350º for 55 minutes in a greased and floured bundt pan.

When you take the cake from the oven, poke holes in the cake. Pour the glaze over it while still in the pan. Let it sit until the glaze is all soaked into the cake. Remove from pan.

GLAZE
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 T. butter
1-2 tsp. almond flavoring

Bring first three ingredients to a boil. Remove from heat and add flavoring.
Pour onto hot cake.
