Fresh peppers--I usually use green but have also used red and orange
Ground beef or chuck
Diced onion
Rice
Salt and pepper

Topping
1 cups ketchup
6 Tablespoons brown sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Cut peppers in half. Place in baking dish.
Mix ground beef or chuck with diced onion and a handful of rice. Salt and pepper to taste.
Fill each pepper with the meat mixture.
Add topping.
Add water to bottom of baking dish.
Cover with aluminum foil.
Bake at 350º for 1 1/2 hours. Remove foil for an additional 30 minutes.
