1 C shortening (half butter for flavor)
1 C powdered sugar
½ tsp salt
1 C ground almonds
2 C sifted flour
1 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar and salt well. Add almonds. Blend in flour gradually, mixing well. Add water and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Shape into balls or crescent using 1 Tbs[ of dough for each cookie. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten slightly. Bake at 325 degrees for 12 to 15 min.. Roll in powdered sugar while still warm.
