Flour
Salt
Pepper
Veg oil
Pkg Liptons Onion Soup mix

Rice or noodles or mashed potatoes

Directions:
Directions:
Pound round steak with hammer meat tenderizer
Slice into pieces
Dredge liberally in flour and brown in oil in Dutch oven
When all browned, drain excess oil, leave rest of drippings in pan...add envelope of Liptons Onion soup , add 4 cup water, and cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour

Cook either rice, noodles or mashed potatoes as a side.

This recipe is from the 60's .. Short ribs can be made in the same fashion... Using a little "gravy master" (Orange capped little bottle) instead of the Liptons Onion soup.
