6 eggs, separated
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup grated coconut
1 TBS butter
1/2 cup sugar for topping

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg yolks, add sugar, milk and coconut. Melt butter in oven proof glass pie plate. Pour mixture into melted butter. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) until firm. Top with the six egg whites, which have been beaten stiff and sweetened with 1/2 cup sugar. Place in the oven until brown about 8 to 10 minutes.
