1/2 cup molasses
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup Crisco
1 egg
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Combine molasses, baking soda and warm water.
Combine brown sugar, Crisco and egg. Add to first mixture.
Combine flour, ginger, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Add to first mixture.
Add vanilla.

Drop on cookie sheet by tablespoon.
Bake for 12-15 minutes.
