1 C of butter
1 C of confectioners sugar
2 C of sifted flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 C pecans

Directions:
Directions:
-Preheat oven to 400 degrees

-Cream butter and sugar

-Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well

-Form dough into dime sized balls. You can leave them round or flatten if you prefer.

-Place on an un-greased cookie sheet, and bake 12-15 minutes.

-While the cookies are still warm roll in confectioners sugar.

-After they cool roll them in confectioners sugar again.

This was Grandmom Bosse's favorite cookie and could always be found at her house during the Christmas season. A child was surprised to find the cookie dry and crumbly with nuts in it given how rich they looked, almost as surprised as to discover how bitter the wonderfully smelling percolated coffee tasted.
