1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
11/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. lemon Extract

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening & sugar. Add egg ,then sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Finally the Lemon Extract. Grease a 9x13" pan & place any fruit in bottom. Add 1/2 c. sugar, then pour batter over sweetened fruit. Bake at 350º Serve with Whipped Cream or Ice Cream
