1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs 2 cups plain flour
2 cups oatmeal
1 tsp soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup pecans
1 pkg chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Combine shortening, margarine, sugar, and brown sugar - mix well. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Add vanilla. Then stir in oatmeal, pecans, and chocolate chips.

Bake on ungreased pan at 350º for about 10 minutes.
