2 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Combine flour and salt, set aside. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla, beat until well mixed. Add flour, blend on low until combined, do not overtax. Form dough in a log, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour until firm. On floured surface, roll dough out to 1/4" thickness. Cut dough with your favorite cookie cutters. Place dough onto ungraded cookie sheets.

Bake in a 325º oven for 12-14 minutes. Transfer to a cooling rack immediately.
