8 oz. almond paste
4 oz. sugar
2 egg whites
pinch of baking powder
1 tsp. almond extract
confectioner sugar
sliced almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites and sugar with baking powder and almond extract. Add almond paste and mix thoroughly. Roll batter into tiny balls and place them on a foil covered greased baking sheet. Can use confectioner sugar if dough too sticky to roll. Bake in a 350º oven for 8 minutes or until brown.

Variations:
You can roll balls in sliced almonds before baking or put batter in pastry bag with star tube and make rosettes. You can also add maraschino cherry on top before baking.
