Ingredients:  
1/2 cup soft shortening (can use part butter)
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 and 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar, and egg.

Sift and stir in flour, baking powder, soda, and salt.

Roll into balls, place on cookie sheet, and criss-cross with fork for the traditional peanut butter cookie "look".
Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
