4 cups cubed bread - hearty white
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 soft butter

Custard:
7 eggs
5-1/4 cup milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup sugar
Directions:
Directions:
Mash together the brown sugar and soft butter and line the bottom of 9 x 13 dish. Spread the bread cubes over mashed sugar and butter.

Mix the custard ingredients together and carefully pour custard over bread. Sprinkle dash of nutmeg evenly over the top.

Bake at 350º or until a knife comes out clean.
