- 2 lbs. Potatoes (about 6 medium)
- 5 tbsp. Butter
- 5 tbsp. Flour
- 3 1/2 cups Milk
- 1 Small Chopped Onion
- 1 Large Ham Steak

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and slice potatoes, Chop onion, cube ham steak, and set aside.

In a large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Blend flour with salt and pepper with butter with whisk. Stirring constantly until mixture is smooth and remove from heat.

Whisk in milk and return to heat. Turn heat to boil and stir constantly until mixture thickens. Remove from heat.

In large baking dish, at least 9x13, spoon a small amount of sauce into bottom of pan and spread around. Then add single layer of potatoes, ham and onion. Top with some sauce. Repeat steps 2 more times. Season each layer with pepper, lawrys, garlic and onion powder.

Dot with little slabs of butter of entire dish. Cover with tin foil and bake at 350º for 40 minutes. Uncover and cook for 1 hour.
