3 tbsp. + 1 tsp. yeast
1/2 c. tepid water
5 c. flour
1 tbsp. + 2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. + 2 tsp. sugar
2 tbsp. melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve the yeast in warm water. When the yeast foams, combine it with the remaining ingredients. "Mix the dough fairly stiff".

Let it rise until double in size, about 1 hour. Punch down. Let it rise until double again and punch down. Put into greased pans. Cover and let rise until double. Bake at 375 degrees F for 30-35 minutes. Bread should sound hollow if you thump on the top. Run butter over the tops when they come out of the oven.
