1 cup butter (softened)
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

FROSTING:
1/2 cup unsalted butter - softened
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups confectioners sugar
2 tbsp. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter in a large bowl. Gradually add sugar and beat until fluffy. Beat in egg, milk and vanilla. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add combined dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mix well. Cover and refrigerate for about 1 hour or until thoroughly chilled.

Preheat over to 350º. Roll out dough on lightly floured surface to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut with floured cookie cutters. Place 1-in apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 7 to 9 minutes or until lightly browned around edges. Transfer cookies to wire racks, cool completely. Decorate as desired. Use frosting recipe below if desired.

FROSTING:
Combine butter, vanilla and milk in mixer or until well blended. Slowly add sugar until completely mixed. Add food coloring if desired.
