Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/2 C Butter
2 C Sugar
1/2 C Cocoa Powder
pinch Salt
1/2 Cup Milk
1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Directions:
Directions:
1. Place butter, sugar, cocoa, salt and milk in large heavy bottomed saucepan over low heat.
2. Cook stirring until mixture reaches a boil that cannot be stirred down. (I look for four or five large bubbles to appear and pop), then stop stirring and start timing.
3. Time 1 minute 15 seconds, then remove saucepan to ice water bath.
4. Add Vanilla Extract and stir rapidly as mixture cools.
5. Just before it gets too thick, spread on cake layers. If it gets too thick to spread return to heat briefly, stir continually.

Double recipe for larger cakes.

For delicious chocolate fudge increase cook time to 2 1/2 minutes then spread on marble slab or glass dish coated with butter. Add nuts if desired, (Best to lightly toast nuts first.) When cool cut into squares. Store in air tight container.

Personal Notes:
The most important ingredient to having this come out perfect is experience! Practice, practice, practice. (That's code for 'make lots of chocolate cakes').
