Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 lbs freshly ground pork
1 1/2 cups rice
2 medium onions diced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 garlic clove chopped real fine
Seasoning salt to taste
1 tsp paprika

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare cabbage leaves the night before

First remove core from cabbage. Fill a big pot with water, add a tablespoon of vinegar and a tsp of salt to water and bring to boil.
Prepare cabbage leaves by placing head of cabbage in boiling water. When outer cabbage leaves start to get a little soft start to remove those leaves and put in cold water immediately. Have an ice cream pail or the like ready with cool water and ice. As other leaves get soft remove them and place in cold water immediately until there is no leaves left. Cut off the core rib from the leaves and place them in an airtight container over night.

The next day line the bottom of your roasting pan with cabbage leaves.

Make the mixture for the inside of your cabbage rolls:
Cover rice with water and parboil for about a minute. Turn off heat and leave for 30 minutes. Sauté onions in margerine - when soft add the garlic clove and sauté it for 1 more minute. Pour over rice than mix pork with rice and add seasonings.

If leaves are big you can cut them in half. Put approximately one heaping tablespoon of mixture into the centre of the leaf. Fold each end over to the middle than roll over and tuck in the ends. Put cabbage rolls in the roasting pan. When all done cover cabbage rolls with water and , and 1 can of tomato soup and 1 tablespoon brown sugar. Cook at 300º for 3 hours.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
It's hard to explain how to wrap the rolls. You might have to have a few practice tries until you think it's right. The amount of mixture that goes on the leaves depends on the size of the leaves too. Grandma prefers making smaller cabbage rolls.
