Notes: This is a recipe I was given by Eugenia 'Snookie' Whitten of Hernando when I was in elementary school. Mother and I used to enjoy going to Snookie's and sitting on the porch with her. Often,we'd shell peas or snap beans while we sat and talked. Snookie made sure to have her Front Porch Lemonade ready for me when we came. I used this recipe and served it at Sub Deb meetings when I was president in high school and later when I was PTA president when my children were in elementary school, as it was a good draw for gaining volunteer labor. It was a hit with everyone and I still enjoy using it all these years later. I am so grateful Snookie shared it with me as it has given our family and friends years of enjoyment.
