Directions: |
Directions:1. Preheat oven to 375. 2. Cream butter, sugars until light and fluffy (about 2 min.) 3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Add vanilla. Add flour, baking powder + soda, salt. DO NOT OVERMIX! I don't know exactly what overmixing is, but for God's sake don't do it. 4. Add chocolate chips, nuts, sprinkles, nutella, or whatever else you want to put in. I did 1 c chocolate and 1 c nutella once and it was divine. 5. Form into 1/4 c. size balls, 6 to a sheet. (You can go smaller, just reduce bake time.) Bake 1 sheet at a time on top rack (about 8 in. from broiler). Bake for EXACTLY 11 minutes. Should look underdone when you take it out. Cool on sheet about 2 min. until you can remove to cooling rack without falling apart. And it should make about 24 cookies. |

Notes: This is a recipe from Nate's brother, Dave. As he once said, "I am going to see if I can give you the cookie recipe FROM MEMORY. If I am successful, then this will explain why my tummy is so round." These cookies are perfect in every way, and you can make them with M&Ms, nuts, nutella, any kind of choc. chips, etc.
