Ingredients:  
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 cup brown sugar packed
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/2 cup flour
1 cup dates
1 cup nuts
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cream of tarter
1 tsp cinnamom

Directions:
Directions:
In mixing bowl combine butter, sugar, vanilla & egg, beat until fluffy
Sift together flour, soda, cream of tarter & cinnamon
Stir in dates & nuts
Shape dough into roll about 1 1/2 inch in diameter
Wrap in foil or freezer paper
Chill in refrig or freezer

Oven 375
Slice, place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper
Bake 7-10 min until done

note: can keep dough in freezer for 3-4 months
