2 medium onions, peeled, thinly sliced and separated into rings
1 cup sour cream
1-1/2 tsps. seasoned salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Daddy and I were dining out one day a few years after my mother passed away and Maxine Applewhite, the lady on the cashier's desk ringing us up, was one of my former classmates at HHS. I introduced her to Daddy and before you know it, we were able to get a list of ingredients for the Cucumber Salad that I adored. This proves two things. It pays to know people and if you ask for a recipe for something you like, often it will prove fortuitous. Daddy could be a very smooth talker when required.
