4 Hot Dog or Hamburger Buns (Can Be Stale)
2 Cups of Sugar or Splenda
4 Eggs
2 Cups sweet milk (Whole Milk)
2 tsps. of Vanilla Extract
4 Tbsp. of butter, melted

Cinnamon to Taste

Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees Farenheit.

Open the buns in half. Put in a 9 x 13 baking dish, brown side up.

Mix the remaining ingredients in a mixer and pour over the buns. Bake until the buns puff up and are heated through.

One of the things I most enjoyed when I was in high school was getting a call from Wilson and Jane Darden with an invitation to dinner where Wilson promised every time, the main course would be an old dead goat. Jane was a wonderful cook but an even better baker. This recipe was one she shared with me that I saved because it reminded me of how rough the Depression was for those my parents' ages and how no morsel of food was to be wasted.
