1 onion, coarsely chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 TBS olive oil
3 cups chopped meat (beef, chicken, pork, turkey, or all of the above!)
2 cans stewed or diced tomatoes
2 cans of chilies
1 half cup salsa

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion and garlic in olive oil. When softened, add the meat, tomatoes, chilis and salsa.

Simmer until the sauce reduces a bit. Probably about 30-45 minutes. Serve with warm tortillas and grated cheese.Use salsa, guacamole, sour cream as desired.

Can also add black olives.

We love this recipe for derivative meals. It's fast and flavorful, super easy to make. You can also use it as filling in tacos, taco salads, etc.

My mom used to make something called Chili Verde. To be honest, I don't remember it, but I remembered the name, so I made up the recipe.
