1 c egg whites (8)
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 1/3 c sugar
6 egg yolks
grated rind of an orange
1 1/4 c sifted cake flour
Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites till foamy -add salt and cream of tartar and continue beating until stiff
Fold in sugar a little at a time
Beat egg yolks until thick and fold in about 1/3 of the egg white mixture then when this mixture is blended fold this mixture into remaining egg whites
Add grated orange rind and carefully fold in flour
turn into a tube pan and bake in a slow oven 325' for 1 hour or until done
