Warm milk for 1 minute in the microwave. Pour into mixing bowl, add sugar and stir slightly. Sprinkle yeast over milk, stir for a second, and then leave it until the yeast mixture becomes bubbly.

Add the butter and about a cup of flour. Mix in the salt gradually. Continue adding flour until it forms a smooth ball. It may take a little Cover and let rest until doubled in size.

Punch down. Let rest about 5 minutes.

Spray two (or three) 9-inch pie pans or cake pans with vegetable spray. Roll out each ball into circle and place in the prepared pans.

Poke the dough several times with your finger, making indentations. Add herbs and onion to melted butter, spoon evenly over dough.

Sprinkle with grated cheese.

Cover and let rise about 30 minutes or until it's twice as high. (I usually start my oven pre-heating and place the pans on the stove where it is warm.)

Bake at 350º for 20-25 minutes or until done. Cut into wedges and serve hot.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I usually make these in my favorite cinnamon roll pans. They have a lever that goes around the entire pan and makes it easy to remove the bread.

This recipe is really good. The bread is almost better than pizza. If you make the 3 loaves, it will get eaten, promise. Or, freeze one for later.
