2 cups milk

1 box (3.4 ounces) cook-and-serve vanilla pudding mix

2 eggs

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

8 to 12 slices Texas toast

3 to 5 tablespoons butter, divided

Powdered sugar

Fresh berries (optional)

In a large bowl, whisk the milk, dry pudding mix, eggs and cinnamon together until well blended. Dip bread in pudding mixture, coating both sides.

In a large skillet or on a griddle, melt a little butter over medium heat. Cook bread on both sides until golden brown. Before serving sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with a little extra butter, syrup and/or fresh berries on top.
