2 cups unsifted all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
2 eggs
1 can pumpkin

*raisins, optional



Directions:
Directions:
Lightly grease 2 loaf pans.
Sift dry ingredients together. Beat together butter and sugar until creamy.
All eggs one at a time. Beat in pumpkin. Add in flour mixture and blend
thoroughly. Turn batter into pans. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350° F.
Let cool 10 minutes before removing from pans.
Makes 2 loaves or 24 muffins.
*may add raisins to batter, if desired
