1c warm water
3TBSP butter
1 1/4tsp salt
3 1/2c bread flour (can use regular if don't have bread)
1 1/2tsp sugar
1 package yeast

***This recipe can be prepared in a bread machine or by hand***
Melt butter, put in bowl with warm water, sugar, salt and 1/2 of flour. Add yeast and the rest of flour, mix well. Turn out onto floured surface and knead well for 5 min, kneading in more flour as needed to make smooth ball. Grease glass bowl, place dough in bowl turning to grease all. Cover and let rise until doubled in size in warm place. Once doubled punch down. Can separate into two small loaves or make one large loaf. Roll our into flat rectangle. Roll up jelly roll style. Fold over ends, place in French loaf pan, or on flat baking sheet. Brush with butter. Cover with saran wrap, then a damp towel and let rise in warm place until double again. Bake at 400ºF until golden brown. Brush with melted butter again if desired.

If using a bread machine place bread machine pan in order listed. Set machine on dough setting. When done, separate into 2 loaves or make one loaf following directions above.
