2 1/2 cups sifted flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 cups brown sugar
1 pkg. chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cups butter or shortening
3 eggs
1 cup coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. Melt butter and stir in brown sugar. Allow to cool slightly. Beat in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour mixture and remaining ingredients. Place in a greased 8 x 12 inch pan. Bake 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees. Cut in squares while warm.
