1 box of Duncan Hines Butter Cake Mix
3 eggs
1 tsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup buttermilk
1 box Red food color
1 stick of unsalted butter
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vinegar

Frosting ingredients:
1 stick of margarine
8 oz. package of cream cheese
1 box confectioner's sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup of chopped nuts (1/2 c. toasted walnuts; 1/2 cup pecans)

Directions:

Cake:
Mix all ingredients and pour into three greased pie pans.
Cook at 345 degrees for 21 mins. and 40 seconds.
Cool on cooling racks covered with waxed paper.

Frosting:
Cream margarine and cream cheese until smooth.
Toast nuts at 350 degrees for 4 minutes.
Add Confectioner's sugar, vanilla, and chopped toasted nuts.
Cream until smooth and used to layer the three cake pieces and to cover the entire outside.
