2 sticks butter, room temperature
½ cup powdered sugar
2 cups flour
2 Tablespoon milk or cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup nuts, chopped fine

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until smooth.
Mix in flour, milk, vanilla, and nuts.
Shape in crescent shapes.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350º for 12 – 15 minutes.
Remove from cookie sheet and while still hot, sprinkle with powered sugar.

My mother made these cookies for holidays. I adopted that tradition and made these most every Christmas season. Be sure to chop the nuts very fine or else the cookie crescents will be more likely to break. Walnuts work just as well as pecans.
