3 ripe bananas
1 C Sugar
1 1/4 C flour
1 tbsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 C (Crisco)
2 Eggs
1 1/2 C Chopped Nuts or Chocolate Chips (Optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat Oven to 325º
Mash bananas into a bowl.
Cream sugar and shortening together. Add the bananas and eggs to the sugar mixture and blend.
Add all the other ingredients, do not over mix.
Pour into a greased loaf pan.
Bake for 55 minutes of until a toothpick comes out clean.

Glenna Hollenbeck was the grandmother of Max and Morgan Hollenbeck and CJ Mauter-Hollenbeck.She was 66 years old when she sadly passed from cancer. Her 2 most known dishes (contributions to this book) was her banana bread and peanut-butter cookies.
